Greets,
Some rain today, first trip no problem, second trip the same. Third trip...first I get a message saying the charging system is too high, followed by the abs & traction lights coming on followed by the the gear indicator lights flashing followed by the message battery not charging. Turned it off, turned it back on and no problem. Put it in gear and same problem first its up around 16volts then back to down to 12, turn anything on and it drops lower. Codes set were PCM P0563, IPC B1911 B1982 U1255, ACM B1982, TCS C1237 & PZM B1982. All of them refer to high voltage problems with the exception of two of the IPC codes - U1255 (Class 2 Init error) & B1911 (Generator L-Terminal problem). At this point it seems to have stopped over charging but is not charging at all. So do I need a new generator/alternator or does it sound more like a ground/short issue?
