99 STS - yet another rear suspension question

99 Seville STS, 178k miles,F45 suspension.

For some time now, my rear ride/suspension height has been low, the compressor comes on but I can see no noticeable difference in height.

I was all set to replace the struts/shocks, but after to speaking to the former owner, he said that it might be the bladders as he had noticed some very minor cracks on them, or it could be the lines, if the bladders are gone, can they be replaced?

I cannot afford all new OEM parts for this, so I have looked into alternatives, and I accept that these will not give the original ride quality, but will be good enough for me for my daily commute on OKC straight roads.

If the bladder is shot, can I use Monroe MA822 and just have ride height adjustment? And fit the bypass resistor.

Or, slightly better, the Monroes 40029/30? These seem to have the solenoid valve on the side.

Are the Arnott solutions on offer similar to Monroes, just better quailty?

Former owner also mentioned that he knew of one owner who had repaired the bladders using tire slime repair, and fitted a filter in-line to stop the slime from back flowing, it didn't know how successfully this was, as anybody heard of this fix?
