Does anyone have any experience in removing and replacing the bottom section of the blower motor housing that sometimes comes with the motor/squirrel cage? I need to replace mine because it doesn't mate with the new motor. According to the instructions,if that is the case,then you use the plastic housing. It is SUPPOSED to fit,right? Well I took mine off. It was a pretty tight squeeze,and I knew I was going to have issues as I was squeezing it out and boy,do I! There's no way. I've read tutorials and threads,but it doesn't seem like there's any way to get it up in place without moving the upper ass'y forward about an inch. It's such an odd shape,that no twists or turns would get it even close. I took the dash pad off and it doesn't look like there's any reason to start digging in there. Any ideas would be appreciated.
