I bought an 1998 Eldorado from our Caddy dealer "jack Carter" here in Calgary , it was reduced to $5900.00 from $10,000.00
A few days after I owned it I noticed a clunking in the back when I went over a bump. I thought maybe the air shocks were in need of repair so I returnred to Jack Carter's and had the service dept see what was wrong . The mechanic ( or someone from service ) came out and said these shocks were'nt working ,but they were set at half inflated, If I wanted they could trace the wireing to see if it was a short that caused them not to work, but he said the part I most likley needed was obsolete and maybe a waste of money,I agreed and paid $130.00 for him looking. A few day later I took it to an independant shop and asked if I could possibly have standard shocks put in,to my suprise he said look at this ,and showed me a dangling air line ,then said I already had standard non air shocks . Someone had already installed them.
I didn't bother going back to Jack Carter ,but told every one who was in earshot how they stole my $130.00. It seems that every dealler is just as sleazy.

Oh yeah thats not all, about 500 miles later the eng light came on ,it overheated and had a blown head gasket. To fix they wanted $3300.00 at this point I loaded the turd onto my car trailer and took it to Navajo scrap buyers where they shred the cars. It was good to see the thing on a forklift going to the car heap. Now I have since bought an 1978 Eldo Biaritz to fix up a little.
