My Dad gave me his 96 Eldorado ETC this spring. I drove it back to Mass from Florida in June. It has been sitting because on the drive home I had to stop quickly and the brake pedal went right to the floor. I was lucky and had the ability to pull around the guy in front of me so I didn't crash.
When I pulled into a rest stop, the car was leaking brake fluid pretty badly from the front left wheel. I have replaced brake lines before in my son's Dodge with pre-made lines I got on eBay. It seems to me that the line in question is for the left front wheel. When I try to look in the area, it looks like it is covered in braided metal. I can't seem to find where the break is or even the line. It looks to me that if I really want to get a good look, I'm going to have to take off the wheel and the wheel well.
I read this forum all of the time when I have an issue and I can usually find the answers without having to post. I was hoping that someone in here might be able to help me because I really want to drive this car and until I can stop it, it would be a bad idea.
Any help you folks could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric
