Got a new old stock GM lock set (ignition, trunk, glovebox, driver door and 2 new logo keys with a valet key) for my 2000 SLS from eBay for $50. Was having code B2734 come on randomly with the security light and some research pointed me in the direction of the exciter module on the lock cylinder. Plus when I got my car it only had one key, so I thought I could take care of two problems at once. Anyways after much frustration and fighting, I got the lock cylinder replaced along with all of the other locks tonight. I figured I would need to do the relearn procedure (30 min in my case with only a Snap-On Solus Ultra and not a GM computer) after changing the dash switch. However, when I went to perform a relearn, the car started with both of the black keys. Puzzled me but oh well. I then went to clear the codes that were stored and active (B2065 & B3055) with the switch to on but the engine not running, the car wouldn't start after that. The DIC displayed "starting disabled, remove key. I'm in the process of doing the 30 min procedure, but the message still displays. The security light did turn off after sitting with the key on for a bit, which I then cycled the key off for 5 seconds, then cranked to start and left it in the on position. It's on it's second cycle now as far as I can tell. Am I heading down the right path, or am I going in the wrong direction? From what I read, the procedure didn't mention anything about the DIC displaying any info. Thanks!

Nevermind, figured it out. Sorry to take up real estate on here. I'd delete this post if I knew how. Lol...
