Hello all, I have a 2001 Eldo with a leaky water pump. I rip everything apart to repair the pump but the back bottom bolt has the main wire harness right over it, cant really get my wrench over the bolt..
.. any ideas on gettin around that harness??????????

hey i have a 99 eldorado and the trunk latch keeps cycling up and down with the trunk open, once the trunk is closed the motor will stop cycling. i have never worked on or around one of these latches before, so i have no idea where to start. ive tried google, and mitchell1, and i havent gotten any useful information. any help would be appreciated, and ill try my best to answer any questions you have. thanks

Just got my 75 eldo. a week ago. i turned on the heater and nothing happend, the blower will only work when i move handle to defrost (windshield) but will do nothing on the other settings. fuses all good, vaccum line (maybe)? any help is appreciated. thanks

Can any one suggest replcement rear shocks other than Monroe air shocks?
Very poor ride even with new Monroe air shocks.

I'm not sure what the name of part 26 is, connects to the control arm. Its pretty much the only original suspension component left on my car and I would like to replace it. The rubber is very warn on I feel like there is some rear sway. Do I need to drop the rear sub-frame in order to replace it? I don't think the rear sub-frame has ever been dropped and I worry about the bolts being rusted and snapping.

this car sat around for about 5 years....I have flushed pond water out of tank... replaced fuel pump... filter.... water pump.... batt .. serpentine belt....hoped I would be getting to the end but, the brakes wont release after you depress......someone helping thought the rear pistons were froze are they screw in ?? I cleaned the pins on front lubed w white grease....they definatly work just sticky....what is going on here ??

Hey guys so recently my car started vibrating. It's weird because I can hear it more than I can feel it. I also feel like it's stronger once put in gear (reverse or drive) the car has new ac delco spark plugs, new wires all 4 new ignition coils, what could be causing the vibration? A motor mount? I haven't ran the codes just yet but I did so a while ago and I don't really remember seeing anything that would be the cause of this. Any help please? I'm just really trying to get this car to the best shape I can get it and the vibrating is annoying and kind of embarrassing (lol)

Hi guys have a problem with rear defroster ... Light goes on when button is pushed and relay picks .. I'm not sure what kind of voltage if any I should get at the contacts on the glass ... Maybe a troubleshoot tree will help if anybody had one ... Thanks Vinny

Does anyone know what would be the closest name brand to OEM for a replacement HID headlight for a 2003 sts. My driver side went out and I need to replace it and was thinking about buying another one online but its so many name brands out there and I know some are notgood quality. I was look at getting a 6000k HID, would that be about what the factory HID headlight is?

Have just picked up a 1973 Eldorado Conv. Trying to find a site that would let me
get a maroney label for the car or spec sheet (ford has the marti report). I put a similar request on the antique portion of this site and got one response referring
the GM Heritage center, but no success there.

For as long as I can remember, my windshield fogs up in the same spot. If you are sitting in the passenger seat it would be in front of you on the left side of glove box. Where would the air be coming in to fog it up?

Hey guys. This is driving me nuts. Originally my passenger side was working fine with the AC /heat but the driver side only blew heat. Fine.
I pulled the blend door actuator ( drivers side) and manually moving the shaft I could control the heat/AC blend. Got a new actuator, popped it in and when running all I heard was a clicking sound.
I've read so many posts and decided they had to be calibrated. Pulled the fuse, disconnected the battery and now all I have is cold air. Before it worked fine as long as I moved it manually but now I seem to have lost the heat.
Any ideas? thought I had this one solved, but as usual there's always a twist. What am i missing here.

1996 Eldo ETC: The backseat passenger blower is rather loud, no grinding, just noticeable. It works fine otherwise. Is it supposed to be whisper quiet? (I need to drive someone else's Eldo so I can compare this and many other things, haha.)

I am cleaning my throttle body and it looks like there is no MAF screen at all, just a few remnants along the edge. Am I correct to assume I will need the whole MAF sensor part to get a new screen in place?

The water is leaking thru the roof on the rear, I took the panel down cleaned all the drain holes, but i still have water coming in right around the top area where the niples and the hose conect, Its not the conection or the hose is on the top of that area, it seems that not all the water is getting to the drain hole. I have run my hand thru both side and there is nothing clogging the path of the water!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have '92 Seville base model with 4.9L Trying to figure out some things on the cooling system.
What's the normal operating temperature of this vehicle? When does the thermostat first start opening and when is it fully open. With the thermostat open does the upper radiator hose warm up first and then the lower? When are the fans supposed to come on? What's the highest temperature that should be allowed before the engine should be shut down?

I have noticed that not all the increments on my Heater/AC blower work. eg. If I toggle down from High to Low (with either steering wheel control or panel) it will skip over a speed or two. What is the problem here? Thanks.
